"Life is a complex abstract in yesterday, today and tomorrow. Man is the wayfarer, and yet a sojourner-actor on the amoebic stage of life. This is the first attempt ever at narrating the life-story of a scholar, researcher and prolific writer, development economist, public administrator and university professor. He is Asiwaju of Ijebuland and Olotufore of Ijebu-Ode; a public servant, philanthropist and ex-federal cabinet minister. He was the ECA (Economic Community for Africa), boss in Addis Ababa and a United Nations Under-Secretary General for more than one and a half decades, and presently the founder and chief executive of ACDESS (African Centre for Economic Development and Strategic Studies) in Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria. As a professional policy maker, his pivotal roles as a vociferous moulder of “Alternative Economic, Political and Social Agendas for the Advancement of the African Continent” are unique, legendry and unrivalled. Here is a pan-Africanist actor whose future endeavours “will continue to reflect the consuming passion of his life: Africa.” A crusading ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of immense talents and endowments, whose politic and tactful maneuvers are classically enduring features of modern diplomatic landscape – Adebayo Adedeji is the man."
